Duties

• Independently manage caseloads from inception to conclusion, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and trials, providing valuable courtroom advocacy experience.
• Collaborate with clients, experts, and senior attorneys to devise effective litigation strategies and maintain regular communication.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and write memoranda to support case strategies and client updates.

Requirements

• Hold a Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Be admitted to the Connecticut State Bar or possess an adequate UBE score for admission.
• Demonstrate 3 to 8 years of litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense or a closely related practice area.
• Exhibit proficiency in drafting and arguing dispositive motions, along with strong legal research skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active admission to the Connecticut State Bar or eligibility via UBE score.

Skills

• Strong advocacy skills for mediations, arbitrations, trials, and hearings.
• Excellent attention to detail, prioritization, and effective communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and maintain meticulous case management.
• Clerkship experience is considered a valuable asset.
