Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-to-senior level corporate associate with at least three years of experience in a sophisticated corporate law practice, focusing on startup, venture capital, and emerging company representation, for their Santa Monica, CA office. Experience with technology and/or life sciences companies is required.

Duties

• Represent startups and emerging companies in corporate matters.
• Advise on venture capital transactions and related legal issues.
• Engage in mergers and acquisitions and capital markets activities.
• Collaborate with clients in the technology and life sciences sectors.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of relevant corporate law experience.
• Experience with technology and/or life sciences companies.
• M&A and/or capital markets experience is a plus.
• Superior academic credentials.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Barred in the jurisdiction or eligible to sit/waive into the next bar exam.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
