Duties

• Draft patent applications.
• Conduct U.S. patent prosecution.
• Coordinate foreign prosecution strategies.
• Conduct inventor interviews and invention harvesting.
• Perform prior-art and patentability analysis.
• Manage and strategize patent portfolios.
• Conduct patent clearance and freedom-to-operate analysis.
• Support technical and claim analysis for opinion work.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in a relevant scientific discipline.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.

• Ability to understand and communicate sophisticated technical concepts.

Education

• Ph.D. in chemistry, organic or medicinal chemistry, chemical biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, biotechnology, pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacology, immunology, cell biology, or related life-sciences disciplines.

Certifications

• USPTO registration required for Patent Agent candidates.
