A law firm seeks a Commercial Litigation Associate in San Diego, California. Duties

• Independently manage a full litigation caseload, handling matters from initial case strategy and discovery through trial and final resolution.



• Conduct legal research, draft complex pleadings and motions, and prepare for and handle depositions and court appearances.



• Collaborate with partners and other attorneys to develop practical, results-oriented legal solutions for corporate clients.



• Communicate regularly with clients to provide status reports and address legal inquiries with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• Admitted to practice law in the State of California.



• Minimum of two years of experience in commercial litigation, including handling breach of contract, D&O, and trade secret matters.



• Proven ability to handle discovery disputes and manage complex factual patterns with nuance.



• Strong analytical, research, writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills.

Education

• JD from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active California State Bar license.

Skills

• Experience with motions for summary judgment (MSJs) and complex legal argumentation.



• Corporate governance experience is a plus.



• Legal project management experience is helpful.
