Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Multi-State Associate Attorney to join its fully remote practice, with the primary location noted as Pawleys Island, SC. This role requires active licensure in Colorado and at least one other state, with a strong preference for attorneys licensed in California, Iowa, Idaho, Kansas, North Carolina, Nebraska, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, Washington, or Wyoming. The position offers a collaborative, mission-driven environment for self-directed legal professionals.

Duties

• Independently manage cases from initial intake through final resolution, ensuring timely and effective outcomes.


• Develop and execute comprehensive legal strategies grounded in thorough factual investigation and legal analysis.


• Maintain substantive communications with courts, administrative agencies, clients, financial institutions, and opposing counsel.


• Draft, review, and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, appeals, agreements, and security instruments.


• Appear at hearings, trials, and proceedings as necessary, while adhering to structured business hours aligned with U.S. time zones.


 

Requirements

• Active licensure in Colorado and at least one other state, with preference given to additional bars in CA, IA, ID, KS, NC, NE, OR, SC, TX, VA, WA, or WY.


• Minimum of three years of substantive legal experience in relevant practice areas.


• Ability to work independently in a remote setting while collaborating effectively with a centralized support team.


• Strong written and oral advocacy skills with a persistent, resourceful, and proactive approach to problem-solving.


• Willingness to travel for in-person hearings, firm trainings, meetings, and other firm-sponsored events as required.


 

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.


 

Certifications

• Active bar membership in Colorado and at least one additional preferred state.


 

Skills

• Proficiency in Mac/Apple operating systems and Microsoft Office 365.


• Experience with Adobe Acrobat, timekeeping software, case management systems, and legal research applications.


• High level of organization, time management, and personal accountability.


• Self-directed discipline and adaptability in a remote work environment.
