Job Overview

A law firm seeks a General Liability Associate to join their team in Iselin, NJ. The successful candidate will handle various responsibilities related to general liability cases, contributing to a dynamic legal environment.

Duties

• Evaluate new files and manage client communications.
• Produce discovery and conduct legal research.
• Prepare legal memoranda on diverse legal topics.
• Prepare and argue discovery motions.
• Handle substantive, dispositive pre- and post-trial motions and appeals.
• Attend pretrial listings and manage trial proceedings.

Requirements

• JD degree from an ABA-approved law school.
• Active license in good standing in New Jersey; New York Bar admission preferred.
• 3 years of NJ General Liability litigation experience required; NY experience preferred.
• Experience in commercial motor vehicle defense, UM/UIM, premises liability, construction accident, and product liability preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, ProLaw, Excel, and e-document management software preferred.
• Self-motivated with excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.

Education

• JD degree from an ABA-approved law school.

Certifications

• Active license in good standing in New Jersey; New York Bar admission preferred.
