A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its litigation and trial practice in Los Angeles, CA. The ideal candidate will have over two years of experience in managing complex litigation defense in federal and state courts, as well as arbitration forums. This role offers an opportunity to develop expertise in environmental toxic tort and commercial litigation while collaborating with experienced partners and senior associates.

Duties

• Manage all aspects of complex civil litigation, including client communications, motions, and discovery responses.
• Appear in court, participate in mediations, and negotiate settlements.
• Take and defend depositions; draft disposition motions.
• Organize, prioritize, and balance multiple assignments effectively.
• Conduct strategic and analytical research and writing.
• Work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Engage directly with firm clients to achieve their goals.

Requirements

• Admitted to practice in California with an active bar license in good standing.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in complex civil litigation defense.
• Experience in environmental, toxic-tort, commercial, and/or construction matters preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active California Bar License.
