Job Overview

Duties

• Manage land use applications including comprehensive plan amendments, rezones, conditional use permits, site plan reviews, subdivisions, and shoreline permits.



• Handle related appeals, regulatory permitting, adjudicative proceedings, administrative rule challenges, and agency rulemakings.



• Provide strategic counsel on the Growth Management Act and its implementation.

Requirements

• Eight to ten years of experience in land use and/or Washington regulatory matters.



• Active membership in the Washington State Bar Association is required.



• Deep familiarity with the Growth Management Act and its implementation.



• Experience with regulatory permitting and adjudicative proceedings is valuable.

Education

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in the Washington State Bar Association.
