Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Commercial Litigation Associate in Jefferson City, MO. The ideal candidate will manage all phases of complex commercial litigation, including factual investigations, discovery, pleadings, depositions, motion practice, mediation, and client communication. Experience in both state and federal courts is preferred, with administrative and arbitration experience being beneficial. Second-chair trial or arbitration experience is preferred but not required.

Duties

• Conduct factual investigations and manage discovery processes for complex commercial matters.



• Prepare pleadings, argue motions, and participate in mediations and arbitrations.



• Communicate effectively with clients regarding legal strategies and case developments.



• Handle multiple projects simultaneously while demonstrating exceptional judgment under pressure.

Requirements

• Must be licensed in Delaware or Illinois, or commit to obtaining a license as soon as possible.



• Three to six years of experience in all phases of complex commercial litigation.



• Experience in both state and federal court proceedings is preferred.



• Experience in administrative matters and arbitrations is beneficial.

Education

• Excellent academic credentials from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active bar license in Delaware or Illinois, or commitment to obtain one promptly.
