A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate Attorney to join its team in Garden City, NY. This role offers hands-on experience across all phases of civil litigation, from case inception through trial, with direct client interaction. Duties

• Assess new files to establish action plans, budgets, and recommendations, identifying pleading requirements and delegating tasks to paralegals as needed.



• Prepare discovery responses, manage document production, and attend depositions, hearings, and other discovery events, providing thorough reports.



• Negotiate settlements, secure authority, and prepare for trial as necessary while maintaining regular communication with paralegals and legal assistants.

Requirements

• Must be licensed to practice law in New York or have pending New York bar exam results.



• 2-5 years of practice experience, with prior insurance defense experience encouraged.



• Willingness to learn and work autonomously and within a team structure.



• Exceptional interpersonal skills, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.



• Initiative and the ability to multitask effectively.



• Mindset geared toward embracing AI to innovate and elevate everyday legal work.

Education

• Juris Doctorate or better.

• Active New York Bar License.
