Job Overview

A law firm seeks a driven and hard-working attorney to join its General Liability practice group in Jacksonville, FL. The firm defends businesses and individuals in a wide range of legal matters, including premises liability, products liability, and various torts. This role offers the opportunity to handle complex litigation while working within a diverse, inclusive, and supportive team environment.

Duties

• Take and defend depositions, draft and argue dispositive motions, and attend hearings, mediations, and trials.



• Perform legal research, analyze case law, and prepare pleadings and correspondence.



• Communicate effectively with clients, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel to provide exemplary legal counsel.

Requirements

• Must be a licensed member of the Florida Bar with excellent verbal and written communication skills.



• Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.



• Prior litigation experience is preferred, though not strictly required for the right candidate.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the State of Florida.

Skills

• Proficiency in legal research, case law analysis, and litigation support.



• Strong interpersonal skills for client management and cross-functional collaboration.
