A law firm in San Diego, CA seeks an experienced Associate Attorney to join its Transportation and Commercial Litigation Practice Group. Duties

• Provide counsel and develop litigation strategies for transportation matters, including catastrophic loss, personal injury, cargo claims, products liability, and regulatory compliance.



• Manage full case handling responsibilities for commercial litigation, including contract claims, real estate disputes, and partnership disputes, from discovery through trial.



• Prepare and argue motions, including those for summary judgment, and conduct depositions, mediations, and trials.



• Negotiate with opposing counsel and maintain comprehensive, clear reporting to client representatives.

Requirements

• Must be admitted to and in good standing with the California State Bar.



• 1-5 years of civil litigation experience, with a preference for background in transportation, commercial litigation, products liability, or general liability.



• Demonstrated experience in writing and arguing motions, particularly for summary judgment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active California Bar membership.

Skills

• Strong analytical skills with excellent oral and written communication abilities.



• Ability to take initiative and work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.



• Proficiency in managing complex litigation files and client relations.
