A law firm seeks an Alcohol Beverage Regulatory Associate in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will have over one year of experience in alcohol beverage law and regulatory compliance, handling matters such as state and federal licensing, three-tier distribution compliance, trade practices, labeling approvals, and mergers involving licensed entities.

Duties

• Manage state and federal licensing, including TTB permits and state licenses.
• Ensure compliance with the three-tier distribution system.
• Advise on trade practice and tied-house restrictions.
• Handle labeling and formula approvals.
• Draft and review franchise and distribution agreements.
• Support mergers and acquisitions involving licensed entities.
• Assist with general corporate and commercial matters for alcohol beverage clients.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school with an excellent academic record.
• Admission to the state bar in good standing.
• Experience or strong interest in alcohol beverage regulatory law.
• Familiarity with the U.S. Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) and state alcohol beverage control agencies.
• Knowledge of the three-tier system and trade practice rules.
• Ability to work independently and productively.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects effectively.
• Interest in working in a collaborative team environment.

Education
