A law firm seeks an Energy Associate Attorney for its Environmental Practice Group in Lexington, Kentucky. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in renewable energy litigation and administrative law, with a focus on state and federal regulations.

Duties

• Engage in administrative and civil litigation related to energy law.
• Provide regulatory counseling and transactional support under major environmental programs.
• Represent clients before the Kentucky Public Service Commission and the Kentucky Electrical Generation and Transmission Siting Board.
• Appeal adverse administrative decisions to Kentucky circuit courts and the Kentucky Court of Appeals.

Requirements

• 2-6 years of substantive experience in administrative/civil litigation and energy law.
• Experience in state or federal administrative law is preferred.
• Strong legal writing, research, and analysis skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Willingness to support team members and pursue ongoing education.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the Kentucky Bar or eligibility for admission.
