A law firm seeks a mid-level to senior intellectual property litigation associate to join its practice in New York. The role involves representing clients in patent disputes involving technologies such as electronic devices, semiconductors, integrated circuits, and mechanical devices. Opportunities include working on matters in federal district courts, ITC, and before the PTAB.

Duties

• Analyze patents and prepare invalidity and infringement contentions.
• Develop case strategy and collaborate with technical experts.
• Draft briefs, manage discovery, and prepare witnesses.
• Take and defend depositions and contribute to trial preparation.
• Work directly with clients and collaborate with colleagues.

Requirements

• Degree in computer science or electrical engineering.
• Approximately four or more years of patent litigation experience.
• Experience with district court patent litigation; PTAB or ITC experience is a plus.
• Ability to manage substantial responsibilities on complex matters.
• Licensed or eligible to become licensed to practice law in New York.

Education

• Degree in computer science or electrical engineering.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in New York or eligible for licensure.
