A law firm seeks a dedicated Family Law Attorney in Fort Myers, FL, to join its legal team. The ideal candidate will provide expert counsel in family law litigation, legal research, and client advocacy. This role offers an opportunity to engage in divorce, paternity, modification, guardianship, and adoption cases within a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Conduct comprehensive legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies and statutory interpretation.



• Draft, review, and negotiate settlement agreements, parenting plans, legal motions, pleadings, and other legal documents with precision.



• Prepare for hearings and trials by organizing evidence, developing case strategies, and participating in court depositions.



• Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and settlement negotiations with a focus on effective legal advocacy.



• Manage multiple cases efficiently through meticulous case management practices while maintaining accurate documentation.



• Communicate complex legal concepts clearly to clients to ensure informed decision-making.

Requirements

• Proven experience practicing law with a focus on litigation or specialized fields such as family law.



• Strong background in legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms to support case development.



• Prior law office experience that includes client communication and legal administrative responsibilities is highly valued.



• Excellent writing skills combined with the ability to articulate complex legal issues clearly and persuasively.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the state of Florida.
