Duties

• Provide strategic advice to plan trustees on a wide array of ERISA and employee benefits issues.



• Draft, review, and negotiate trust documents, plan documents, and service provider agreements.



• Assess benefits claims and appeals while ensuring strict regulatory compliance.



• Manage withdrawal liability matters and support unions associated with the plans.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in ERISA and employee benefits law.



• Experience advising on multiemployer pension, health, and training funds is preferred.



• Strong ability to handle cross-border or national client matters is desired.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in California.
