Job Overview
A law firm seeks an experienced Of Counsel attorney for its New Orleans, LA office. This role focuses on employment and labor law, providing strategic counsel and robust litigation support to employers. The ideal candidate will manage complex cases and advise clients on workplace compliance and risk management.

Duties

• Defend and litigate lawsuits involving a broad range of employment-related claims and agency charges.
• Advise, counsel, and train employers on various employment and labor law issues to mitigate risk.
• Represent employers in court, arbitration, administrative agencies, and mediations for matters including class actions, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage-and-hour disputes, contract issues, employment torts, and non-compete cases.

Requirements

• 9+ years of experience in employment litigation with significant experience managing and running litigation cases in a first-chair capacity.
• Current Louisiana Bar admission in good standing.
• Supervisory experience over associate and paralegal work, including delegating assignments and providing feedback.
• In-depth understanding of current state and federal agency procedures.

Education

• JD from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the state of Louisiana.

• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
• Class Action experience is preferred but not required.
