Job Overview

Duties

• Lead asylum, removal defense, family immigration, and citizenship matters from intake through resolution.



• Appear in immigration court, USCIS interviews, and administrative proceedings.



• Prepare and file petitions, applications, motions, and supporting documentation.



• Conduct client consultations, convert prospective clients, and maintain referral networks.



• Collaborate with paralegal and administrative staff while maintaining accurate billing and case notes.



• Participate in business development, networking, and additional duties as required.

Requirements

• Active New Jersey bar admission is required, with no exceptions.



• Minimum of 2 years of immigration law experience.



• Experience with asylum, removal defense, family immigration petitions, and/or naturalization.



• Strong legal writing, research, and organizational skills.



• Client-centered approach with the ability to work with vulnerable populations.



• Self-starter capable of managing a caseload independently.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the State of New Jersey.

Skills

• Family law experience (divorce, custody, support) is preferred.



• Bilingual proficiency in any second language is strongly preferred.



• Experience with GoHighLevel or Clio case management software is desired.
