Job Overview

Duties

• Conduct client consultations, evaluate eligibility for immigration relief, and develop tailored case strategies.



• Manage a high-volume caseload, oversee paralegals, and ensure critical deadlines are met.



• Draft, review, and revise petitions, motions, briefs, and supporting legal documents for courts and agencies.



• Perform legal research and prepare persuasive written advocacy for immigration proceedings.



• Represent clients in interviews, hearings, and merits hearings before immigration courts.



• Cultivate client relationships and participate in community outreach and business development initiatives.



• Participate in one Saturday consultation session per month, with bonus opportunities based on client retention.

Requirements

• Active Bar License in Good Standing from Virginia.



• Fluency in Spanish is required.



• One year or more of immigration experience preferred; experience in Family Law is also considered.



• Ability to handle a fast caseload and manage day-to-day client interactions.



• Strong organizational and project management skills.

Education

• J.D. from an ABA Accredited Law School (required).

Certifications

• Authorized to work in the US.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.



• Proven ability to work effectively as a team member and manager.



• Self-starter with a desire to thrive in a high-growth environment.



• Subject matter expertise in Family-Based Immigration, SIJS, Asylum, U Visas, Waivers, and Removal Defense.
