Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney for its Labor & Employment Litigation practice in San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of two years of experience handling employment litigation matters, including case management, discovery, motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated and challenging matters within a collaborative and highly respected team.

Duties

• Manage employment litigation matters of various sizes, including individual, class, wage & hour, harassment, discrimination, and PAGA litigation.



• Take and defend depositions, draft pleadings and motions (including dispositive motions), and respond to discovery and correspondence.



• Assist with workplace investigations and maintain extensive contact with client representatives and opposing counsel.

Requirements

• Must be admitted to and in good standing with the California Bar.



• Demonstrate strong analytical skills and excellent oral and written communication abilities.



• Be a highly motivated professional capable of taking initiative and working independently as well as within a team.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the State of California.

Skills

• Experience with wage and hour class action and PAGA litigation is highly preferred.



• Proficiency in all phases of case management, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
