Job Overview
A law firm seeks a mid-level associate to join its Energy & Infrastructure team within the Project Finance group in Los Angeles, CA. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in project finance and M&A deals in the energy sector.

Duties

• Support project finance and M&A transactions in the energy sector.
• Conduct due diligence and review credit agreements and legal opinions.
• Engage in transactions involving power generation and transmission.
• Draft and negotiate power purchase and interconnection agreements.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of relevant experience.
• Substantial practice experience before FERC.
• Direct experience in renewable energy, including wind, solar, or battery storage.
• Admitted to the state bar of the preferred office location.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

• State bar admission in the preferred office location.

Skills

• Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency in conducting legal research and due diligence.
