A law firm seeks a Mass Torts Counsel to join its dynamic litigation practice in Greenville, South Carolina. This off-track position offers a reduced billable-hour requirement without business development expectations, allowing the attorney to focus on high-quality legal work across discovery, depositions, motions, and trial.

Duties

• Manage all aspects of mass tort litigation, including discovery, depositions, motions practice, and trial preparation.



• Conduct thorough legal research and apply relevant laws, court decisions, and rules of evidence and procedure.



• Collaborate with team members and work independently to take on increasing levels of responsibility.

Requirements

• Must be licensed to practice law in South Carolina.



• Minimum of three years of litigation experience in a fast-paced environment.



• Willingness to travel for court appearances and other proceedings as necessary.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active South Carolina bar membership in good standing.

Skills

• Strong written and oral advocacy skills with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.



• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while demonstrating initiative.



• Background in insurance is preferred but not required.
