Job Overview
A law firm seeks a Commercial Litigation Associate in Chicago, IL. The associate will engage in enforcement and litigation matters before state and federal courts and administrative bodies, focusing on government investigations, enforcement, and healthcare litigation.

Duties

• Respond to investigations and inquiries from state attorneys general and federal agencies.
• Represent clients before licensing and regulatory bodies such as Boards of Pharmacy and Departments of Insurance.
• Participate in administrative trials, contested hearings, and state and federal court litigation.
• Develop a long-term practice in commercial litigation.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school and two to three years of legal experience.
• Admission to the Illinois bar, or eligibility for prompt admission.
• Current or recent experience at a state or federal government agency.
• Experience in a state attorney general's office is strongly preferred.
• Hands-on experience with litigation or enforcement matters.
• Practical understanding of enforcement office operations.
• Exceptional research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Sound judgment and ability to work diplomatically with various stakeholders.
• Strong preference for candidates based in, or willing to relocate to, the Chicago area.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the Illinois bar, or eligibility for prompt admission.
