A law firm seeks a junior-level Associate Attorney to join its Native American Law practice group in San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience advising tribal governments and organizations on transactional and regulatory matters.

Duties

• Advise tribal governments on governmental transactional matters.
• Handle regulatory compliance for tribal organizations.
• Engage in healthcare contracting and reimbursement matters.
• Draft and negotiate facility and service agreements.
• Collaborate with federal and state healthcare agencies.

Requirements

• Active California or Arizona Bar admission.
• 2-3 years of relevant legal experience.
• Experience with Indian Health Service programs preferred.
• Familiarity with the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act.
• Experience with tribal governance and commercial transactions is beneficial.

Education

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active Bar admission in California or Arizona.
