A law firm seeks a Senior Litigation Attorney to join their team in Dallas, Texas. This role involves leading a litigation docket, trying cases, and shaping strategy without the overhead of running a firm. The attorney will manage case strategy from filing through verdict, supported by a dedicated team of paralegals and legal assistants.

Duties

• Drive strategy on liability, coverage, damages, and valuation for personal injury cases.
• First-chair jury trials, argue motions, and lead mediations.
• Draft and direct pleadings, motions, and discovery; manage depositions.
• Set settlement parameters and lead negotiation efforts.
• Supervise and mentor support team and junior attorneys.
• Advise clients on strategy, progress, and settlement decisions.
• Collaborate with firm leadership to refine litigation strategy.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice law in Texas and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
• 8+ years of litigation experience, with substantial personal injury experience.
• Prefer first-chair jury trial experience and a strong courtroom presence.
• Proven ability to manage a robust docket and direct support staff.
• Demonstrated success leading teams in a high-stakes environment.
• Strong communication skills with clients, adjusters, and legal professionals.
• Proficient with legal research databases and case management software.
• Preferred: Experience with catastrophic injury, wrongful death, or commercial trucking cases; Spanish speaking a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Texas.
