This role involves managing complex casualty litigation, navigating transportation regulations, and advising clients on emerging legal issues within the e-commerce and gig economy sectors.

Duties

• Manage a litigation caseload from inception to resolution under senior attorney guidance.



• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and legal memoranda.



• Represent clients at court hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.



• Negotiate settlements and develop proactive resolution strategies for stakeholders.



• Collaborate with colleagues across departments to ensure cohesive case management.

Requirements

• Admitted to practice law in the state of Texas.



• Minimum of three years of general casualty litigation experience.



• Required experience in deposition and motion practice.



• Strong background in handling litigation matters within the transportation sector.

Education

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in Texas.

Skills

• Superior analytical and sophisticated technical skills.



• Excellent written and oral communication abilities.



• Experience with transportation, logistics, and trucking regulations preferred.



• Familiarity with emerging e-commerce and gig economy legal issues desired.



• Trial experience is preferred.
