Job Overview

A law firm seeks a litigation associate for its Southeast Litigation group in Orlando, Florida. This hybrid role involves handling residential and commercial foreclosures, title disputes, and other real estate matters within a collaborative team environment.

Duties

• Manage a caseload of contested matters on behalf of residential and commercial mortgage lenders and investors.
• Appear in court to argue motions for routine and contested foreclosure, title, and HOA/COA disputes.
• Develop case strategy, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery, and conduct settlement negotiations.
• Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates and drive case resolution.
• Analyze loan files, title reports, and other documents to support legal arguments.

Requirements

• Minimum 1-3 years of relevant litigation experience involving mortgage foreclosure, creditor rights, or civil litigation is preferred.
• Knowledge of the Florida Mortgage Foreclosure process is helpful.
• Knowledge of the Florida Code of Civil Procedure and Supreme Court Rules.

Education

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed in Florida and in good standing with the Florida Bar.
