A law firm seeks a Data Privacy Associate to join its Emerging Data Privacy Trends practice in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will have experience in litigation involving data privacy class actions and appellate matters.

Duties

• Defend employers and technology enterprises in data privacy class actions.
• Handle appellate matters in federal and state courts and arbitration.
• Engage in data breach litigation and privacy-related disputes.
• Work on session replay, wiretapping claims, and pixel tracking litigation.
• Address right of publicity claims and other emerging privacy issues.

Requirements

• Two to five years of law firm litigation experience.
• Familiarity with BIPA, CIPA, and other privacy statutes.
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
• Excellent legal research and analytical abilities.
• Outstanding academic credentials.
• Interest in data privacy law.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

• Bar admission in Illinois or eligibility to waive in.

Skills
