A law firm in San Diego, CA seeks an Associate Attorney to join its Family Litigation group. The ideal candidate will possess one to five years of experience in family law and thrive in a collaborative environment that values cross-practice teamwork and professional growth through mentorship. Duties

• Assist supervising attorneys in the comprehensive management of family law cases from inception to conclusion.



• Draft letters, pleadings, financial disclosures, mediation briefs, and trial briefs with precision.



• Propound and respond to discovery, prepare meet and confer letters, and draft motions to compel.



• Prepare deposition outlines and exhibits, and defend or take depositions.



• Prepare witness questions for evidentiary hearings and trial, and conduct legal research to prepare memorandums.



• Prepare for and attend ex parte hearings, RFO hearings, and other related matters.



• Maintain routine client contact and accurately track billable time.

Requirements

• Must be admitted to and in good standing with the California State Bar.



• Demonstrate strong analytical, oral communication, and excellent writing skills.



• Exhibit attention to detail with a commitment to accurate work product.



• Show the ability and desire to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.



• Be a highly motivated professional with a positive, team-player attitude.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the State of California.

Skills

• Experience in family law litigation, including discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.



• Strong ability to handle matters from inception to conclusion.



• Excellent organizational and time management capabilities.
