Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Financial Services Partner to join their team in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The successful candidate will bring a portable book of business and possess strong client and case management skills. Admission to practice in Florida is preferred. This role offers the opportunity to work with seasoned attorneys in advising and defending financial services organizations and individuals in various legal settings.

Duties

• Manage arbitration, litigation, and regulatory matters from inception through resolution.
• Communicate directly with clients, providing strategic guidance and regular updates.
• Collaborate with attorneys across offices on financial services matters.
• Consult with clients on compliance issues to meet legal and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Admission to practice in the state of residence is required.
• 10+ years of financial services litigation experience.
• Strong analytical, writing, research, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational, case management, and interpersonal skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the Bar in the relevant jurisdiction.

Skills

• Experience with FINRA, AAA, and other arbitration proceedings.
• Experience responding to FINRA, SEC, and state regulatory investigations.
• Experience defending financial services professionals in court actions.
• Experience representing insurance agents in professional liability claims.
