Job Overview

A law firm seeks a California-licensed Counsel Attorney to join its Mass Torts Practice Group in Irvine, California, with a preference for Los Angeles or San Francisco locations. Remote work arrangements are also considered. This role focuses on silica, asbestos, and talc litigation, offering the opportunity to manage complex matters with a high degree of autonomy while collaborating with experienced litigators across all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial.

Duties

• Manage assigned mass tort cases with autonomy, handling all phases of complex litigation including discovery, depositions, and motion practice.


• Collaborate closely with a team of experienced litigators to advance cases through trial and resolution.


• Travel periodically for depositions, court appearances, and other legal proceedings as necessary.


 

Requirements

• Must be licensed to practice law in California and be in good standing with the State Bar.


• Willingness to travel periodically for depositions, court appearances, and other proceedings as required.


 

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.


 

Certifications

• Active California State Bar membership in good standing.


 

Skills

• 2-5 years of litigation experience with excellent written and oral advocacy skills.


• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and colleagues.


• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively across teams and offices.
