Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney to join its Boston, Massachusetts office. This full-time position is ideal for newly admitted attorneys or those with up to three years of experience, offering a strong foundation in commercial litigation and transactional practice. The role provides hands-on experience and mentorship to develop legal, strategic, and client-management skills.

Duties

• Conduct legal research and prepare legal analysis.
• Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, and legal agreements.
• Assist with and manage written discovery and document review.
• Participate in court appearances, hearings, and conferences.
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties.
• Assist with case strategy, settlement negotiations, and recovery efforts.
• Support commercial transactions, including finance and real estate matters.
• Work alongside experienced attorneys through all phases of litigation and transactional matters.

Requirements

• Admission to the Massachusetts Bar.
• Newly admitted attorneys or those with up to three years of experience.
• Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines effectively.
• Willingness to learn and take on increasing responsibility.
• Sound judgment, professionalism, and a strong work ethic.
• Proficiency with legal research platforms, Microsoft Office, and related technology.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
