Duties

• Handle and assist with divorce, custody, child support, and other family law matters.
• Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda.
• Assist with hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Communicate directly with clients and provide professional service.
• Assist with negotiations and settlement discussions.
• Review discovery and organize case materials.
• Assist with family-based immigration matters and applications.
• Prepare petitions, applications, and legal briefs.
• Conduct research on immigration laws and procedures.
• Communicate with clients regarding case requirements.
• Assist in preparing clients for USCIS interviews.
• Maintain organized immigration case files.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• 0-2 years of legal experience.
• Admission to the Illinois Bar, or eligibility for admission, required.
• Excellent legal research and writing skills.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines.
• Professional, organized, and motivated.
• Genuine interest in family law and immigration.
• Bilingual abilities, particularly Spanish, are a plus.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the Illinois Bar, or eligibility for admission.
