Job Overview
A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney for their insurance coverage group in Garden City, NY. The position offers a hybrid/remote setting, with the option to work from NY, NJ, or PA offices. The ideal candidate will have 2-10 years of experience in insurance coverage and be licensed to practice law in NY, NJ, or PA.

• Duties
• Manage a diverse caseload from inception through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, answer written discovery, and participate in arbitrations and trials.
• Take and defend depositions of parties, fact witnesses, and expert witnesses.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to develop case strategies.
• Communicate with clients, the court, witnesses, opposing counsel, and co-counsel.
• Provide regular updates to clients on case status and potential outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with partners, associates, and legal staff.
• Manage cases while adhering to billing and budget requirements.
• Travel for court, client meetings, etc., as needed.
• Requirements
• 2-10 years of experience in insurance coverage.
• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active bar license in NY, NJ, and/or PA, in good standing.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proven success in courtroom appearances, depositions, and settlement negotiations.
• Interest in defense litigation.
• Clerkship experience is a plus.
• Education
• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Certifications
• Bar license in NY, NJ, and/or PA.
