A law firm seeks an experienced Insurance Coverage Litigation Associate to join its Litigation team in Mt. Pleasant, SC. This role offers hands-on experience across all phases of civil litigation, from case inception to trial, with direct client contact. Hybrid work options are considered after initial integration. Duties

• Assess new files to establish action plans, budgets, and strategic recommendations.



• Identify pleading requirements and delegate tasks effectively to paralegals.



• Prepare discovery responses and manage document production processes.



• Attend depositions, hearings, and discovery events, providing thorough reports.



• Negotiate settlements, secure authority, and prepare for trial as necessary.



• Maintain regular communication with paralegals and legal assistants.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of insurance coverage litigation or other relevant experience.



• Must be licensed to practice law in North or South Carolina.



• Exceptional interpersonal skills for effective communication with diverse clients and colleagues.



• Strong organizational capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.



• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.



• A portable book of business is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctorate or better.

Certifications

• Active Bar license in North or South Carolina.

Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
