A law firm seeks an Estate Planning Attorney in Phoenix, AZ. This role offers the opportunity to lead and develop the estates, trust, guardianship, and probate practice area. The position involves a hybrid work structure with a focus on building a new practice while managing a family law caseload.

Duties

• Carry a family law caseload including divorce, custody, parenting time, support, and modifications.
• Handle estates and probate matters: wills, trusts, powers of attorney, probate, trust administration, guardianship, and conservatorship.
• Design intake criteria, fee structure, workflow, and document templates for the estates practice.
• Partner with firm leadership on marketing and positioning for the practice area.
• Advise clients through emotional and consequential decisions.
• Mentor paralegals and staff as the practice area grows.

Requirements

• Active Arizona Bar admission in good standing.
• Experience in estates, trusts, probate, or guardianship matters.
• Family law experience or willingness to manage a family law caseload.
• Excellent drafting skills with attention to precision.
• Self-directed with the ability to create new processes.
• Willingness to travel for court appearances throughout Arizona.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Active Arizona Bar admission.

Skills

• Experience in opening or scaling a practice area.
• Trust administration and contested probate experience.
• Spanish fluency preferred.
