Duties

• Manage and advance an active litigation docket independently.
• The docket may include habitability and property-condition claims, security deposit disputes, eviction defense, debt defense and consumer protection, contract disputes, foreclosures, post-judgment collection, real estate fraud and conversion, landlord trespass, and premises liability.
• Appear in court and handle case responsibilities.
• Conduct prospective-client consultations and case evaluations.
• Collaborate on case strategy and support with colleagues.

Requirements

• Active membership in the State Bar of Texas.
• Minimum of 2 years of practicing attorney experience.
• Litigation and courtroom experience.
• Ability to manage a caseload and court appearances independently.
• Strong legal research, drafting, and verbal advocacy skills.
• Knowledge of Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and Evidence.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Texas.

Skills

• Professional reliability, responsiveness, and integrity.
• Excellent writing skills.
• Comfortable with modern case-management and legal research platforms.
• Spanish-language fluency is a plus.
