A law firm seeks a Privacy Attorney with at least four years of experience in data privacy and security compliance to join their Denver, CO office. The ideal candidate will have a background in advising clients on privacy laws and drafting related policies and contracts.

Duties

• Advise clients on privacy and cybersecurity compliance.
• Draft privacy policies and internal governance documents.
• Conduct internal investigations for privacy compliance.
• Prepare and respond to data breaches.
• Draft and negotiate data privacy terms in commercial contracts.
• Support M&A transactions on privacy issues.

Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Licensed or willing to become licensed in Colorado.
• Four years of experience in a top firm or in-house department.
• Knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy laws.
• Experience with privacy compliance programs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AI-enabled software.

Education

• JD from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Colorado or willingness to obtain.
