Duties

• Manage a docket of real estate and commercial litigation matters.
• Develop and execute litigation strategies with partners and clients.
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
• Prepare for and conduct depositions; prepare clients and witnesses.
• Argue motions and participate in court appearances and negotiations.
• Manage discovery and deadlines efficiently.
• Communicate directly with clients and opposing counsel.
• Collaborate with paralegals and team members, ensuring quality outcomes.

Requirements

• 4-7 years of litigation experience in a law firm.
• Experience in real estate or commercial litigation.
• Proficiency with litigation technology and court filing systems.
• Strong legal judgment and commitment to integrity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience drafting motions, managing discovery, and handling depositions.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license (or eligibility for licensure) to practice law in New York.
