Duties

• Manage caseload from intake through resolution.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Prepare correspondence and settlement proposals.
• Provide legal advice and evaluate claims and defenses.
• Negotiate with opposing counsel and represent clients in hearings, mediations, and court proceedings.
• Collaborate with partners and team members on case strategy.
• Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with court rules.
• Build strong client relationships and contribute to practice development.

Requirements

• Strong foundation in law with the ability to interpret statutes and case law.
• Proven ability to provide clear, practical legal advice.
• Solid research skills with proficiency in legal research tools.
• Effective negotiation skills with experience in settlement discussions.
• Active membership in the California State Bar, in good standing.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and prioritize deadlines.
• Prior law firm or litigation experience preferred; experience in employment or labor-related matters is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Active membership in the California State Bar.
