Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Senior Associate or Counsel with 8+ years of experience in fund finance and debt financing for a position in New York, New York. The ideal candidate will possess significant expertise in NAV and other fund-related credit facilities, alongside experience in secured and unsecured financings, syndicated lending, acquisition financings, asset-based credit facilities, and other commercial finance matters. Experience representing private equity and alternative asset funds, portfolio companies, borrowers, banks, and other commercial lenders is preferred. The role requires an entrepreneurial spirit, solid interpersonal skills, direct client contact capabilities, and business development acumen.

Duties

• Advise clients on complex fund finance and debt financing transactions, including NAV facilities and syndicated lending.



• Negotiate and draft documents for secured and unsecured financings, acquisition financings, and asset-based credit facilities.



• Manage direct client relationships and contribute to business development efforts for the corporate debt practice.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in fund finance and debt financing.



• Proven track record in representing private equity funds, alternative asset managers, portfolio companies, and commercial lenders.



• Demonstrated ability to handle direct client contact and exercise business development acumen.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active admission to the bar in New York.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an entrepreneurial mindset.



• Deep understanding of commercial finance matters and syndicated lending structures.



• Ability to manage complex transactions and client expectations effectively.

Benefits

• Competitive salary range of $420,000 - $450,000 based on experience and qualifications.
