A law firm seeks a Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney in Pittsburgh, PA. This role involves handling all aspects of workers' compensation defense litigation and providing strategic legal analysis to clients. The position is remote and offers a collaborative work environment.

Duties

• Handle all aspects of workers' compensation defense litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, hearings, and appeals.
• Provide strategic legal analysis and case evaluations to employers, insurers, and third-party administrators.
• Prepare and present cases before Deputy Commissioners.
• Draft persuasive motions, briefs, and settlement evaluations.
• Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates, recommendations, and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure efficient and effective case management.

Requirements

• JD degree from an ABA-approved law school and an active license in good standing in Virginia; Washington D.C. and/or Maryland license preferred.
• 2-5 years of direct workers' compensation experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, ProLaw, Excel, and e-document management software preferred.
• Must be a self-motivated independent thinker with excellent time management skills, strong organizational skills, and outstanding communication skills.

Education

• JD degree from an ABA-approved law school.

Certifications

• Active law license in Virginia; Washington D.C. and/or Maryland license preferred.

Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, ProLaw, Excel, and e-document management software.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
