Job Overview

Duties

• Provide legal counseling and representation to clients in construction-related disputes, including defect claims, torts, and contractual matters.



• Take and defend depositions, draft and argue dispositive motions, and prepare pleadings and correspondence.



• Attend site inspections, hearings, mediations, and trials while conducting legal research and analyzing case law.



• Communicate effectively with clients, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel to advance case strategy.

Requirements

• Must be a licensed member of the Florida Bar.



• Minimum of 1 year of civil litigation experience, with preference given to those experienced in construction litigation.



• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the State of Florida.

Skills

• Strong ability to analyze case law and perform comprehensive legal research.



• Proficiency in managing multiple aspects of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.



• Effective client management and professional demeanor in high-stakes environments.
