A law firm seeks a mid-level Transactional Tax Associate in Los Angeles, CA. This role offers substantial client contact, meaningful responsibility, and opportunities for professional growth. Duties

• Advise clients on U.S. federal income tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions, partnership formations, and joint ventures.
• Structure and analyze transactions involving partnerships, LLCs, and corporations.
• Draft and negotiate tax provisions in various agreements.
• Provide tax support on real estate joint ventures and other transactions.
• Conduct tax diligence and prepare memoranda on transaction structures.
• Collaborate with attorneys across practices to deliver client solutions.

Requirements

• 6-8 years of relevant transactional tax experience in a law firm setting.
• Strong background in domestic partnership and corporate tax matters.
• Experience drafting and negotiating complex agreements.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Strong analytical, drafting, and negotiating skills.
• High level of attention to detail and responsiveness.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and interact directly with clients.
• California bar admission required.

Education

• An LL.M. in Taxation is preferred but not required.

Certifications
