Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Trademark Associate to join its San Francisco office. The ideal candidate will be part of the 2nd or 3rd year class in the Trademark & Copyright group, bringing strong legal and analytical skills to a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Duties

• Handle domestic and international trademark clearance, prosecution, and portfolio management.
• Advise clients on trademark selection, use, and protection strategies.
• Assist with trademark disputes and brand protection matters.
• Engage in copyright counseling, licensing, and domain name disputes.
• Address advertising and unfair competition issues.
• Draft and negotiate intellectual property agreements.
• Conduct online brand enforcement activities.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of experience in trademark and copyright matters.
• Exposure to technology, digital media, consumer products, retail, or internet-based businesses preferred.
• Strong client-focused approach and sound judgment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

• Admission to the bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
