The attorney will handle a wide range of general litigation cases, providing expertise in employment, municipal, toxic tort defense, and personal injury defense. Duties

• Lead clients through the litigation process, including depositions and courtroom strategies.
• Provide analysis and counsel on legal policy and client positions.
• Conduct research, interview clients and witnesses, and prepare for trials or depositions.
• Manage case timelines and deadlines independently.
• Represent clients in various legal proceedings.
• Prepare for trial, including depositions, discovery, and case preparation.
• Draft briefs, pleadings, and motions.
• Write and defend complex legal arguments in court.
• Counsel clients on operating policies and procedural improvements.
• Participate in practice group meetings and professional development initiatives.

Requirements

• License to practice law in West Virginia with bar admission in good standing.
• Degree from an accredited law school.
• 2-7 years of general litigation experience; trial experience preferred.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Commitment to professionalism and teamwork.

Education

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
