A law firm seeks a driven Employment Law Associate with 3 to 5 years of experience to join its dynamic Employment Group in San Francisco, California. The role involves handling pre-litigation matters, high-profile single-plaintiff cases, systemic discrimination, wage and hour class actions, and Private Attorney General Act (PAGA) representative actions.

Duties

• Respond to administrative charges and counsel clients on a wide variety of employment issues.



• Take and defend depositions, make court appearances at important hearings, and argue motions.



• Handle mediations and manage complex cases, assuming significant responsibility for cutting-edge legal matters.



• Work directly with corporate clients, managing cases independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of litigation experience at a peer law firm.



• Must be a member of the California State Bar in good standing.



• Exceptional academic credentials and outstanding interpersonal skills.



• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in the State Bar of California.

Skills

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.



• Strong analytical, creative, and practical problem-solving abilities.



• Experience with cross-border matters or complex litigation preferred.
