Job Overview

Duties

• Lead complex commercial litigation matters, including partnership, shareholder, and fiduciary duty disputes, from intake through final resolution.



• Develop and execute comprehensive litigation strategies, draft substantive motions, and manage complex discovery processes.



• Prepare for and participate in hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and trials, including first-chair trial experience.



• Negotiate strategically on behalf of sophisticated clients, including founders, executives, and business owners.



• Maintain proactive communication with clients and collaborate with firm leadership on case strategy and business considerations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of substantial commercial litigation experience handling complex business disputes.



• Strong background in motion practice, discovery, depositions, negotiations, and independent case management.



• Meaningful courtroom, arbitration, evidentiary hearing, and/or trial experience, with first-chair trial experience strongly preferred.



• Experience with partnership, shareholder, ownership, fiduciary duty, or business divorce disputes is highly desirable.



• Excellent legal writing and oral advocacy skills with exceptional judgment and organizational abilities.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York Bar is required.



• Florida admission is a plus.
