Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate to join its Subrogation & Recovery Department in Denver, Colorado. This role offers the chance to work with esteemed practitioners and gain substantial litigation experience in a leading practice.

Duties

• Represent clients in state and federal courts throughout all litigation phases.
• Investigate and evaluate complex property losses from various catastrophic events.
• Collaborate with experts to develop recovery strategies.
• Draft pleadings, discovery requests, motions, and briefs.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Prepare for and appear at court hearings.
• Participate in mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, experts, and opposing counsel.

Requirements

• Minimum of four years of litigation experience.
• Strong litigation, analytical, writing, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage matters independently and work collaboratively.
• Experience in property damage, insurance, construction, product liability, commercial litigation, or subrogation preferred.
• Insurance background is a plus.
• Licensed and in good standing in Colorado.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Colorado.
